On 23 November, a patient in cardiac arrest died during its transport from Bonaventure to the hospital of Maria. The CISSS had, therefore, decided to conduct an internal investigation, while the team in place at CLSC Paspébiac has refused to take the patient load, at around 23: 45, at the request of the paramedics. It has, therefore, been transported to Maria, a fifty-minute Paspebiac.

In the findings of the survey, it is mentioned that the time of death registered by the physician of the emergency Hospital of Maria confirmed that the patient died at home, and this was several minutes before the call at CLSC Paspébiac and the transport to the emergency of the Hospital of Maria.

The suspension with pay of the nurse has been lifted as of the date of 28 November 2017.
