American astrophysicists through special telescopes were able to see the asteroid in 2018 DU flew closer to the Earth than the distance of the moon from our planet. According to preliminary data, the size of the asteroid is 10 metres, reports Rus.Media.

It is reported that near-earth asteroid in 2018 DU will perform very close to flying over the Ground and land safely on the moon. At the moment, powerful telescopes are tracking every movement of the asteroid.

At the current time the asteroid in 2018 DU is at a distance of about 315 000 km from Earth, closer than the distance to the moon. According to preliminary data, the asteroid will approach the Earth and will fly at a distance of 284 000 km.
