MOSCOW, Russia | The Kremlin has expressed Friday its “concern” after the decision of the american president Donald Trump taxation on imports of steel and aluminum, ensuring that Moscow would “carefully analyze” its trade relations with Washington.

“This is a situation that deserves greater attention. Many european capitals have already expressed their extreme concern over this decision. We share this concern,” has declared to journalists the spokesman of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov.

“We will carefully analyze the situation in regard to our commercial relations with Washington,” he added.

Donald Trump said Thursday he would announce next week the imposition of customs duties of 25 % steel and 10 % aluminum imported by the United States.

This announcement has provoked a reaction upset Beijing, the first steel producer in the world who has called on the United States to “curb their use of protectionist measures and abide by multilateral trade rules”.

The German minister of foreign Affairs, Sigmar Gabriel, for his part, claimed a reaction to a “farm” of the european Union and expressed “the great concern” of Germany.
