    SAGUENAY | The man who barricaded himself for 16 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday in the area of Jonquière, in the Saguenay is facing five charges.

    Bruno Bouchard, 36, is charged with public mischief over $ 5000 to have mobilized several municipal police of Saguenay and of the Sûreté du Québec.

    It is said also to have possessed a gun while the two ordinances denied him to do so.

    Of the heads of the possession of cannabis for purpose of trafficking are also charged against him.

    Bouchard pleaded not guilty on Thursday.

    During his appearance, the accused appeared nervous, taking the word a few times and asking to speak with his lawyer.

    Judge Pierre Lortie has even suspended the hearing in order to allow Me Justine Guay-Langevin to discuss with his client in the cellblock of the courthouse in Chicoutimi.

    The Crown opposed his release.

    Bouchard will return to court next Tuesday to try to break out of jail pending his trial.
