LAC-MÉGANTIC | The resto-pub Le Musi-café in Lac-Mégantic has been put on sale Monday for $ 2.5 million. This is a result of a long reflection that the owner Yannick Gagné, took this decision.
“My heart will always remain linked to the Musi-Café,” said Mr. Won by way of a press release.
It is in this restaurant that almost two-thirds of the 47 victims of the tragedy train in Lac-Megantic lost their lives on July 6, 2013. Rebuilt on the rue Papineau, the Musi-cafe became a symbol of the reconstruction of downtown Lac-Mégantic.
“I’ve invested time, money, and so many efforts to make the institution and its trade-mark what they represent today, said Yannick Gagné. With the Musi-Cafe, I went after a dream and now I want to invest myself in other projects that I care about. To do this, I want to pass the torch to new owners who will continue to develop the potential of this trade.”
It is the firm Engel & Volkers has been mandated to find new investors and operators for the Musi-café.
