    LONGUEUIL – in The aftermath of the passage of the troubled member of The Pack and the Soldier of Odin on the campus of Cégep Édouard-Montpetit in Longueuil, the students ‘ association’s displeasure is most ardent, and criticized severely the attitude and “inaction” of the management, on Thursday.

    The student Association of Cégep Édouard-Montpetit (AGECEM) has strongly condemned this presence, noting that she has “shaken the student body”.

    “These groups are racist in front of our members and prevent the preservation of an atmosphere conducive to study. The presence of Pack members on the campus has, therefore, no place to be”, we read in a press release published on Thursday.

    In the framework of a conference on radicalisation and the extreme right, who stood Wednesday in the Centre of expertise and training on religious fundamentalism and radicalization (CEFIR), representatives of both groups have been invited. It is not without fly their colors and logos that they have landed on the campus.

    Beyond all, it is the “kerfuffle demonstrated by the administration of the Cegep as to the management of the event” that deplores the association.

    “The AGECEM wishes to publicly denounce the silencing and the pressures made by the directors with respect to,. By taking such actions, the administration is found to be complicit in the spread of ideas, xenophobic, islamophobic, racist, and fascist”, one can read also.

    The group conference of the CEFIR was to bring together scholars of the extreme right to share in the advancement of knowledge on the subject and had the ambition to find solutions in the prevention of right-wing extremism.

    Wednesday, however, members of The Pack and the Soldier of Odin, who made the headlines by expressing loudly their refusal to be considered as being of the extreme right. For example, they heckled the words of a speaker. A few arrests have taken particular place.
