If he is elected in 2018, the pq intends to reopen the agreement reached last week with general practitioners in order to freeze their pay.
“I’m going to ask the electorate in an electoral mandate strong” in order to renegotiate the agreement, announced on Wednesday the leader of the PQ, Jean-François Lisée. “We will ensure that it does not apply”, he added.
Jean-François Lisée blame elsewhere François Legault to have introduced, to the time when he was Health minister in a pq government, the principle of comparison with the canadian average. This decision has led to “the worst decision of public finances of the century”, he launched.
The pay freeze is one of the three health measures announced by the Parti québécois, in the course of his caucus présessionnel.
The training would also give more autonomy to nurse practitioners, specialized, in addition to ensuring access to a health professional until 21h.
Shortly after the announcement, the minister Gaétan Barrette has scoffed at the plan of the parti québecois health at the exit of the council of ministers. “They want to go to war against the doctors, create a mess in the network”, he denounced.
