    Look at this article

I have respect for the mayor of Montréal, Valérie Plant. This does not prevent the disappointment deep following his broken promise not to increase taxes.

The mea culpa late of his administration on his mistake in leaving the pavements dangerously icy for days and days – and many still are, I hope, at least, may be a lesson learned for the future.

What is much more serious, however, are fractures and other injuries that this poor decision has earned several Montreal and Montrealers, young, less young, disabled or elderly people already in a vulnerable state.

Unfortunately, the broken bones and torn ligaments do not repair by magic with excuses after the fact.

For those injured, the multiple consequences, including financial, are painful and real.

And we loose the sneakers with the small parish priests who, on social media, throw to the winds to wear studs!

Sorry. First, citizens do not pay municipal taxes for the need to protect the poor maintenance of their sidewalks when it is necessary rather to deglaze the pan.

Secondly, many elderly or disabled people are unable to walk with crampons. It is necessary to know when even.

The safety of citizens and the public health, however, should ALWAYS pass before the budgetary considerations of the moment.

With its austerity, this is something that the government Couillard does not understand.

Hope that in the future, the administration of Valérie Plant is not the same water.
