As she is nursing currently its small Abigaelle, one-month old, she uses her own milk, which she extracts and preserves.
Good hydration
“My recipe for soap is made up of about 15 % of my breast milk, which is very nutritious because it contains more minerals and protein than the water usually used. It moisturizes well the skin of the babies, ” explains the 28 year-old.
In addition, it is rewarding to wash his child with a bit of self-same.
At its soap factory in Sainte-Brigitte-des-Saults, located in the Centre-du-Québec, Shirley-Anne Goguen already holds several design workshops of soaps and other bath products with the young people and adults.
It now wishes to offer to new moms, with their toddlers, to manufacture their soap with their own breast milk.
“Very on trend “
“The mothers are on leave and want to do activities with their baby. It is very trendy now to do things all by yourself, ” says this mother of three children.
The workshop for three people lasts four hours and costs $ 75, including products for making soaps.
Participants need to provide their breast milk, is a little more than a cup to make two pounds of soap.
“It is even better if the milk is frozen because it retains its properties “, she says.
With the breast milk or not, its soaps are all made with natural products. The milk of the two goats that live on the farm is also recommended for the sensitive skins of babies or those who suffer from eczema, etc
The resident in the Centre-du-Québec believed to be the first to develop this type of soap.
“I have not seen elsewhere,” she says.
Identity
The entrepreneur will also design a bath bomb effervescent, that the future parents can give to their friends and family to announce, in an original way, the sex of the baby to come.
A color that is not visible from the outside will be hidden in the bomb. When it will be put to the water and it will become pink, it means that the parents are expecting a girl. If it is blue, a boy.
“I really try to do what nobody has yet done “, she says.
Ms. Goguen has even launched the “soap pompettes” for women who want to make their soap with a glass of wine… or more.
