    MONTREAL – employees of the call center 911 for Emergencies-health of Montreal and Laval will be on strike for 48 hours from Wednesday evening.

    In a press release issued Wednesday, the administrative Court of labour has announced that the essential services provided to ensure the health and safety of the population during the strike were sufficient.

    Employees will be on strike as early as 23 h.

    Thus, the Syndicat des employé-es Emergency health (SEUS-CSN) is committed to “respond to all calls of the population, partners in health and partners in emergency from the set of questions contained in the protocols 1 to 33 and other operational standards”. Another commitment has been made to assign and allocate resources préhospitalières available “appropriately, effectively, and efficiently”.

    Approximately 210 répartitrices and dispatchers in the emergency medical and a member of the office staff are concerned. They are without a collective agreement since march 31, 2015.
