OTTAWA – us secretary of State Rex Tillerson will be coming to Ottawa next Tuesday, has confirmed the ministry of foreign Affairs on Friday.

The head of american diplomacy will include a bilateral meeting with the minister asked by chrystia Freeland. Mr. Tillerson will meet with the ministerial committee in charge of canada-u.s. relations.

This appointment will take place on the background of the north Korean crisis. The United States and Canada must hold in January in Vancouver, British Columbia, a summit to discuss the nuclear program of Pyongyang.

Other issues that are important to the two countries will be on the menu of discussions, including security, trade and the economy, said the ministry.

The full schedule of the visit of the secretary of State will be known on Monday.

Some media have reported that Rex Tillerson would also meet Justin Trudeau. The office of the first minister indicated that this meeting is still not confirmed.
