The Weather Slows Canada Post

News 25 January, 2017

Difficult weather conditions hinder delivery of mail. Canada Post warns that delays may occur. Delivery has even been canceled in some areas.

Canada Post interrupted delivery of mail to the Greater Montreal area until further notice. “It is not safe for our delivery agents to deliver mail today. Delivery will resume as soon as conditions improve and it can be done safely, “said Canada Post, on its Twitter account on Tuesday morning.

The weather also disrupts mail delivery in the Suroît, Bas-Richelieu, Haut-Richelieu and Estrie regions. “Every effort has been made to ensure delivery, but some customers may not receive mail today,” warned Canada Post.

Delivery may be suspended if conditions deteriorate further. The Crown Corporation ensures that normal delivery will resume as soon as conditions improve.
