Not long ago, the Meteorological Agency of Japan has published the results of the analysis of data that indicate the imminent increase in the level of acidity of ocean waters in different parts of the globe, reports Rus.Media.

According to experts, the ocean, whose natural state is slightly alkaline, absorbs from the atmosphere, excess carbon dioxide, thereby helping to slow down global warming. However, due to the accumulation of carbon dioxide in sea water and oceans in many parts gradually become acidic. And this phenomenon may have a negative impact on ecosystems and global warming.
