To arrest a man in connection with a shooting incident in Ottawa

    OTTAWA – A man 25 years of age, suspected to be the result of a mass shooting that occurred on August 26, avenue Woodroffe and the promenade Navaho, Ottawa, was arrested Tuesday.

    Joseph Madore was arrested about 20 pm on Tuesday, and then placed in custody without incident, reported the Ottawa police Service (OPS).

    The Unit of firearms and street gangs, the police service continues to investigate the shooting of August 26, last. Officers went to the area after receiving numerous calls reporting gunshots. Thirty shells had been found on site. A victim, a man of 25 years old, had been injured by gunfire, but his life was not in danger.

    Investigators are still looking for the second suspect, “armed and dangerous”, identified by authorities as Abraham Bihi, 27 years.
