Trois-Rivières: a father accused of violence against his family back in court

    THREE RIVERS | the father of A family that would be living hell to his wife and four children for several years was back in court Tuesday at the palais de justice de Trois-Rivières.

    The man 45-year-old has seen seven new charges of assault and assault with a weapon filed against him Tuesday.

    The acts would have been taken between September 2013 and last January to the place of the four children of the family, between the ages of 20 months and 17 years.

    The investigators met with the aged and their testimonies have led to these new charges.

    The man allegedly used a screwdriver, a stick, and even a peashooter to brutalize his children.

    As the defendant has recently changed counsel, the case was postponed to 12 April next to give her time to take cognizance of the evidence gathered against him.

    The arrest of the individual, on the 25th of January last, had been the subject of a major deployment as a police officer.

    The day before, he had allegedly discharged a weapon to lead on his wife before fleeing.

    Messages of threats would have followed this episode particularly violent.

    Complaint

    It is the result of this gesture, the lady who lives with him for the past 19 years has decided to file a complaint.

    This was not the first time that it would have reached by projectiles.

    The man had already seriously injured, but she had preferred not to go to the hospital to receive care, thereby avoiding the need to give explanations about his injuries.

    She stated that she had also already suffered a fracture to one ankle, the result of blows with a stick.

    He faces numerous charges of assault, assault causing bodily harm, threatening death against his wife and improper storage of weapons.
