Small children, who spend more than two hours a day sitting watching TV, are two times at greater risk of developing asthma than their more mobile peers, reports Rus.Media.

Scientists from the University of Glasgow have identified a group of 3065 children who had asthma at the age of three and a half years, and for eight years watched for their condition. The pace of development of asthma in kids has grown in proportion to the periods of time that they spent watching TV. Children who watched TV more than two hours a day, the risk of asthma up to 12 years old increased by 80% compared to children who gave this lesson in less time.

The findings of the study add asthma to the list of conditions that include obesity, diabetes, Smoking, and promiscuity, which are related to the frequent TV viewing and related sedentary lifestyle.
