MONTREAL – A man and a woman who would be involved in the sale of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Ontario have been pinned Wednesday in Sainte-Sophie, in the Laurentians, by the Squad joint regional North Shore.
Jonathan Payer, 31 years old, and Jade Brunet-Paquette, 23 years of age, marched in front of a judge Thursday at the palais de justice in Saint-Jérôme, to respond to charges of possession of a narcotic and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
During a search of a house, the police confiscated 1000 tablets of methamphetamine, four firearms, a crossbow and a small amount of hashish, according to the police, mentioning that the investigation remains open, so that other charges could possibly be added to the folder of the two defendants.
Any information on the production and trafficking of narcotics may be sent to the Central criminal information of the Sûreté du Québec at 1 800 659-4264.
