Accused of two murders, the man at the origin of the longest Amber alert in Quebec’s history was back in court on Thursday morning.
Present at the palais de justice in Saint-Jérôme, Ugo Fredette, 42 years old, seemed to be shaped in its appearance.
At the hearing, the Crown handed over a hundred CDS to the defence, containing the elements of the proof.
The lawyer Fredette, Pierre Gauthier, and the prosecutor, Me, Steve Baribeau, agreed on the date of 14 march for the following procedures.
Charged with the premeditated murder of his wife, Veronica Beard, and the murder not premeditated Yvon Lacasse, he appeared for the third time before the judge Carol Richer.
Ugo Fredette had been arrested in Ontario last September after a manhunt of several hundred kilometres with his six year old son.
