HALIFAX | The police of Halifax proceeded to not less than 22 arrests on Saturday, while up to 2000 students of Dalhousie University set out to do the party in a street near the university campus.

“It’s become out of control. People are mounted on police cars and thought that would be funny to take photos, but they were arrested,” explained the sergente Darla Perry, of the police of Halifax, CTV News, Sunday.

22 arrests have been made in connection with violations of the criminal Code, the regulations on alcohol and municipal laws and regulations. Other people have also received tickets.

“That was the brothel. There was a lot of drinking and craziness at the beginning of the day on Saturday,” said a resident of the area, Erin Hopkins, on the tv channel.

The president of Dalhousie University, Richard Florizone, has deplored the actions of the students. “I am disappointed to learn that some students drank excessively, and disturbed our community. This type of behavior does not reflect our values, and is not respectful to our neighbors,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
