GATINEAU | Two robbers dressed in overalls and wearing masks, and safety glasses are sought by the police of Gatineau following an armed robbery occurred in a jewellery shop in the Buckingham sector.

To try to make headway in the investigation, police released Tuesday a video taken by a surveillance camera of the Jewelry Trudel, in which we see the two thieves at work, on the 6th of June last.

After threatening the clerk with a shotgun – what you don’t see on the video and asking him to remain motionless to the ground, the criminals will break the display cases to grab jewelry, and fill a large sports bag.

In order to conceal their identity, they are dressed head to foot in overalls and blue of their faces are hidden by masks and safety glasses.

“The suspects have left the trade-in unknown direction with a large value in silver jewelry,” says the police of Gatineau, in a press release.

    They were speaking in English.

The theft happened in daylight, at the beginning of the afternoon.

Any person with information to identify the individuals is asked to contact the police of Gatineau.
