Watches online: Louis Vuitton launches Horizon drum under Android Wear 2.0

The French luxury brand Louis Vuitton launches a connected watch running Android Wear 2.0. Named Drum Horizon, it will cost you dear if you wish to get it.

The connected watch market is trying to reinvent itself in recent days. Recently, we presented you on meltyStyle, Sequent the smartwatch able to recharge itself. If this product is still in draft, Louis Vuitton does not wait on his side to enter the game. The luxury brand made in France proposes the Tambour Horizon, an elegant smartwatch with a circular dial. All the know-how of LV has been put on this watch so that it is the best performing. Moreover, the choice has been made to run the Horizon Drum under Google’s Android Wear 2.0 OS. It is also compatible with the iPhone.

The smartwatch comes with an AMOLED touch screen of 1.2 inches. Within it was placed a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage. All powered by a 300 mAh battery. Louis Vuitton allows the customization of its Drum Horizon thanks to the 60 detachable bracelets. The brand also developed two applications to be found in the menu: My Flight and City Guide. The first one lists all the information of your reserved flight while the second offers you tips and tricks for your stay. To this, you add its waterproof capacity (up to 30 meters deep) and you have almost all the characteristics of the Horizon Drum. Its only brake will be its estimated price to 2450 dollars (that is 2136 euros). What can fall back on the Apple Watch of which an Apple certified charge cable enjoys a promotion.
