In the experiment, the women had sex with their partners in socks and without socks. As it turned out, if the girl was wearing socks, she reached orgasm in 80% of cases. Barefoot satisfaction received only 50% of experimental respondents.

According to the organizer research Professor of neurobiology Greg Holstege, this is explained as follows. The female orgasm is closely linked to the feeling of comfort. Areas of the brain responsible for anxiety and fear (the amygdala and prefrontal cortex), during sex must not be active. It is their work often prevents them from receiving pleasure. If your feet are warm, the brain gets an extra boost that everything is happening safely, and the woman actually relaxed.
