It will be at least 19 years old to buy and consume the product, is the minimum age to consume alcohol in Ontario.

“Decisions relating to pricing and fees will be taken after that the federal government will release more information,” said the ontario government, which has not been advanced on the possible price of a gram of cannabis.

Quebec is currently holding a public consultation on the framing of the legalization of cannabis, which should lead to the adoption of a framework law in the fall.

The minister of Finance of Quebec, Carlos Leitao, has already stated that cannabis would not be sold in SAQ “next to the white wine, red wine, or of Portuguese wine”.
