At least 10 people who were aboard an American Airlines flight had to be hospitalized after having crossed a zone of intense turbulence, on Saturday.
The aircraft was a liaison between Athens, Greece and Philadelphia.

Once the device is laid on the ground, the three passengers and seven crew members were transported to a hospital in the Philadelphia region to be evaluated.
American Airlines did not want to specify the severity of their injuries, according to a witness, one stewardess suffered a dislocation of the shoulder so the jolt was powerful.
The pilot apologized to passengers, qualifying the zone of turbulence of the “totally unexpected”.
A video captured a few minutes after the incident by a passenger shows a number of debris that littered the central aisle.
