Faithful to its habits, the auto Show in Detroit was the scene of the global launch of several models this week. Here are 12 that have caught our attention.
Ford Mustang Bullitt 2019
Frédéric Mercier
To mark the 50th anniversary of the film Bullitt, where Steve McQueen drove a Mustang, Ford has developed a new version of “Bullitt” to its popular Mustang GT. More powerful than the GT ordinary, the Bullitt pulls out a power output of 475 horsepower and a torque of 420 lb-ft from its V8 engine of 5.0 liters.
Ford Ranger 2019
Germain Goyer
Always at Ford, the Ranger makes his return to North America, and it has officially been unveiled in Detroit. The Ranger 2019 will be built in the United States in the same plant which will produce the new Bronco, which is expected to be introduced next year. Obviously, there is nostalgia in the air at Ford!
Honda Insight Concept

The Insight will soon be back at Honda, and this concept presented in Detroit gives us a very good idea of what the production model will look.
Volkswagen Jetta 2019
Frédéric Mercier
After a sabbatical year in 2018, the Volkswagen Jetta will be back in 2019. Its design is nothing revolutionary, and the sedan German will continue to be led by a four-cylinder engine turbocharged 1.4-liter.
Kia Forte 2019
Frédéric Mercier
Such as Volkswagen, Kia has also benefited from the Living area of Detroit to unveil the new generation of its compact sedan, the Forte. Kia promises an integration of technologies significantly improved, especially in offering of series a touch screen of 8 inches compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Hyundai Veloster 2019
Germain Goyer
The Veloster is completely renewed to 2019, and Hyundai has really put the package. We will propose now a variant N equipped with a turbocharged engine of 275 horsepower. Apparently, the Korean manufacturer wants to go play in the flower beds of the Honda Civic Type R and the Volkswagen Golf R.
Ram 1500 2019
Frédéric Mercier
At Ram, we presented a new version of the popular pickup truck 1500. It is now adopting a new look, but continues to offer the same engines with six and eight cylinders. A version with a diesel engine should also continue to be part of the equation.
Chevrolet Silverado 2019
Frédéric Mercier
Great rival to the Ram 1500, the Chevrolet Silverado has also received a makeover at the auto Show in Detroit. A new version called Trailboss will make his debut for 2019.
Jeep Cherokee 2019
Germain Goyer
In addition to a new front grille, the Jeep Cherokee 2019 also receives a new engine turbocharged 2.0-litre, 270 horsepower under its hood. Engines 2.4 L and 3.2 L, which were already proposed, are also available.
Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2019
Frédéric Mercier
Even if it uses an all-new platform, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class maintains a design almost identical to that of its predecessor. A bit like Jeep has done with the new Wrangler, Mercedes was keen to ensure that the model remains true to its origins, and it is so much better like that!
Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept
Frédéric Mercier
Dubbed LF-1 Limitless, this SUV concept seems to be squarely out of a science fiction movie. As the marketing of this concept is not envisaged for the time being, Lexus is not too focused on the mechanical details of the LF-1. The manufacturer has ensured that the vehicle could be animated by several types of engines different from gasoline engine to the version that is 100% electric, through variants of hybrid and hydrogen. It closes the door to any option.
Infiniti Q Inspiration Concept
Frédéric Mercier
Still in the domain of concepts, Infiniti has stolen the spotlight with the presentation of the superb Q Inspiration, the design of which was overseen by the Quebec Karim Habib. The concept gives a good idea of the style that future models of the brand could adopt.
