A government of the Parti québécois would deploy a network of clinics without doctor, where work of nurse practitioners specialized to treat minor emergencies and to ensure the monitoring of certain diseases.

VAT News has put the hand on a document “confidential” which details each of the measures that a pq government would put in place if it came to power on the 1st of October next. These clinics without a doctor would be established from January 2019, according to the working document.

It is inspired by the clinical SABSA, a cooperative of solidarity, rue St-Vallier est, Quebec city. This is a clinic run by nurses and staff counseling. Follow-up with and without appointments are offered every day of the week.

“We see (the proposal of the PQ) with a good eye, lance Amélie Bédard, coordinator of SABSA. It is important to know that we still have contacts with general practitioners for our more complex cases,” she said.

CLSC open until 21 h

The Parti québécois is proposing a series of measures starting with a opening for acts clinical to allow 200 000 health professionals to provide care independently. It also planned to freeze the salaries of doctors and increasing the budgets for home care.

It also suggests that the CLSC be open until 21 h to allow more people to access the service outside normal office hours.
