A few months of the legalization of cannabis recreational in Canada, the CAA-Quebec Foundation has undertaken an awareness campaign to raise awareness to motorists of the dangers related to driving a car under the influence of drugs.

Aimed obviously to young drivers, the campaign to flavor humorous has already begun to be broadcast on YouTube so that on the social networks Instagram and Snapchat.

According to data gathered by CAA-Quebec, more than one in four believes that cannabis does not affect driving a vehicle. Some even believe that it could improve driving skills!

“You can laugh as you want, but the steering wheel, this is no longer funny,” says the director of the CAA-Quebec Foundation, Marco Harrison, by way of a press release. The organization intends to hammer home this message on all forums in the course of the next few months in order to destroy the myth that cannabis does not affect our ability to drive.

According to CAA-Quebec, one-quarter of the drivers who have taken drugs in the last year claimed to have driven a vehicle after they have consumed it.
