Nearly 160 teachers volunteered to participate in this project, which aims to introduce a greater number of students to computer programming at school. Nearly 30 teachers were selected from 17 primary and 12 secondary – in each of the school boards of the two targeted regions. These teachers will have two days of training, at the end of march and early April, prior to use in their classes the 300 robots provided in the framework of this project.
This pilot project has been created in the wake of the work regarding the action plan for digital education, which will be unveiled this spring by the government Couillard. This formula could possibly be extended to the whole of the province.
