Sébastien Proulx wishes the creation of a professional order for teachers and a greater contribution from the private school for students in difficulty. The teachers unions are firmly opposed. However, their inclination to darken the table of education discourages the professional commitment and attendance in a public school. This attitude of the trade unions nourishes, contrary to their aspirations, appetites for the professional and the private school.
Competition association
The internal crises and divisions have not spared the trade union world in recent decades and have led to an intense competition between the unions and allegiances are different. This competition has led to a flurry of claims and has amplified their criticism. Such a situation is not without perverse effects, considering that the unions will multiply the requests up to the unreasonable and expand the list of problems at infinity to appear more militant than the rival union.
This rivalry returns to the population, a negative image of public education and a portrait of teachers who are refractory to its improvement. The controversy of association also feeds the soil of supporters of a professional order who come to believe that this is the solution par excellence to ensure that competent teachers.
