Mario Asselin, who has bitten the dust twice, carrying the colors of the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) from the Quebec city region, in 2012 and 2014, will be the candidate of the formation of François Legault in Vanier-Les Rivières in the general election of October next.
Surrounded by the members Genevieve Guilbault and Éric Caire and candidates already announced for the next election, the chief caquiste the announcement was made alongside of Mr. Asselin on Wednesday morning, in Quebec city. The riding is held by liberal Patrick Huot, who was confirmed earlier this year that it requests a new mandate.
Mario Asselin, a former school principal and consultant on issues relating to digital education, is very involved in the CAQ for several years. The former blogger at the Journal headquarters, in particular the national executive Board of the party.
François Legault presented “the school principal, Mario Asselin as “a guy from the square”, which lies in the constituency for 20 years.
Mr. Legault has invited the voters of Vanier-Les Rivières “make history” by voting for electing the first government of the CAQ in the fall.
“We are in the process of building a nice team Quebec,” pointed out the chief caquiste.
In 2012, the CAQ and its candidate Sylvain Lévesque had happy just riding to the liberals, before that Patrick Huot does resume at the last general election, in 2014.
The ADQ, the predecessor of the CAQ had won the riding of Vanier in 2007, when Sylvain Légaré was presented to the party of Mario Dumont.
