    The leader of the Bloc québécois, Martine Ouellet, said that the crisis that his party has nothing to do with his leadership and proposes to submit all the members for a referendum to clarify the mission of the training.

    Last week, seven of the 10 members of the Bloc have left the party caucus, while inviting Martine Ouellet to resign, criticizing harshly its position and its direction.

    It has, however, resisted this call, choosing to remain on the job, while affirming that the door is open if members of the house who resigned want to re-enter the Block.

    According to her, the crisis is the result of a misunderstanding on the role of the training policy in Ottawa.

    At a press conference today, Ms. Ouellet stated that the defence of Québec’s interests are intertwined with the project of sovereignty, as stated in article 1 of the party program.

    It provides that the elected representatives of the Block must promote the sovereignty over all the forums.

    The quitters believe that the priority is to represent Quebec in parliament without constantly speak of independence.

    Yesterday, 30 presidents of riding associations of the Bloc québécois have for their by offered their assistance to the chef in a letter addressed to the national Office of the party.

    The national Office of the party will determine the referendum question Saturday, and a general council will be held mid-April for the light of the vote.
