The national Assembly was, once again this week, the scene of some events a little silly that caught our attention. Here they are:
A title to test your lung capacity!
Decidedly, Lucie Charlebois has a long title : Minister for Rehabilitation, youth Protection, public Health and Healthy life habits. On Tuesday, the president of the national Assembly, François Gendron, preferred to shorten it in the calling Ms to the minister responsible for Rehabilitation, “and the rest”. What the minister has said, “it is a test of lung capacity, Mr. Chairman, that to say my title to the full in one breath!”
Quebec has become a… metropolis!
Asked about the transportation project structuring in Quebec, the member for Gouin, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, has not hesitated to say that it was an “excellent project”, at the height of what Quebec city is “a metropolis, a great city of the 21st century”. Huh? A metropolis? Since when is Quebec a city?
A focus…surprising!
While a journalist was asking him, to repeat in French the answer to a question which he had answered in English, the leader of the Parti québécois, Jean-François Lisée, replied imitating the accent that usually have English speakers when they speak French.
Decidedly, Mr. Lisée has the sense of humor… however, we are not certain that the joke made everyone laugh!
A presidential statement is very philosophical!
And finally, François Gendron, who was the acting speaker of the national Assembly, on Tuesday, launched a sentence very philosophical bears thinking…
“Because I know that I am present, I know that I’m here.”
