THREE-RIVERS – The fire of Trois-Rivières had to fight two beginnings of a fire, Wednesday morning, in the sector Cap-de-la-Madeleine.
The fire Department has opened an investigation to determine the causes of the two losses. It could be arson and the work of an arsonist.
The fires would have taken birth to 7 h. The two affected residences are located to two kilometers of distance. A duplex on the rue Saint-Édouard has been damaged by the flames. The fire started at the back and it was quickly contained by firefighters.
The second fire would have been lit, between the cladding and the wood structure of a duplex in the Notre-Dame street East.
In both cases, the damage is minor.
In 2015, a wave of arson had taken place in the city centre of Trois-Rivières. After several days of investigation, a man had been arrested.
