A former vice-president of the consulting firm CIMA+ and the former CEO of the firm Sintra were written off yesterday by the Order of the engineers for having participated in sharing systems contracts in Montreal and Laval.

He is accused of having participated in a system of collusion in the cities of Montreal and Laval between 2002 and 2009. He has also been convicted of having paid commissions illegal for a political party to get contracts.
The facts are quite similar to Norman Bédard, who bails out of 18 months of radiation and 10000$ fine.
The latter is also involved in a system collusionnaire from 2003 to 2006 as the boss of the firm, paving Sintra. And it has also been found guilty of having paid a commission to illegal a political party.
However, Mr. Bedard would have in addition encouraged a colleague to participate in the system-sharing contracts.
For Mr. Thompson, the board of discipline of the Order also condemned for attempting in 2015 to obstruct the investigation of the Order by refusing to provide information to self-incriminate.
MESSRS. Théberge, and Bédard, face criminal charges. They had been arrested as part of operation Honor of the Unité permanente anticorruption (UPAC) and accused in particular of “gangsterism”, as the ex-mayor of Laval, Gilles Vaillancourt.
In December, he pleaded guilty, scooping six years of incarceration and $ 8.6 million fine.
For the case of MESSRS. Théberge, and Bédard, two trials will be held in the fall. One for the engineers and officials including Mr. Théberge and the other for entrepreneurs, including Mr. Bédard.
