Louis-Georges and Marie-Ange Champigny always hope that new clues can renew the investigation concerning the disappearance of their daughter, Nathalie.
The young 21-year old woman was seen for the last time on February 22, 1992 while she supped with her boyfriend at the restaurant in the Auberge Knowlton, Lac-Brome. Nathalie Champigny wished to put an end to his relationship with Kelly Whittier. Since that evening, no one has ever reviewed.
Investigation
The municipal police of Cowansville had opened an investigation a few days after his disappearance. First seen as a fugue, the survey had not evolved as quickly as the family Champigny have been hoped for.
“Nathalie was our baby. We love all our children, we don’t want to lose them. I would like so much to squeeze her in my arms again and have the chance to tell him that I love him,” said mrs. Champigny in VAT News.
Kelly Whittier, the main suspect in this disappearance, had been met by police for the first time on 14 march 1992. Arrested, and then charged, he had been released and the accusations leveled against him are dropped.
Despite the years, the family Champigny remains convinced that he is the murderer of Nathalie. “Even if the charges are dropped, we have always believed that Kelly Whittier was responsible for his disappearance. Nathalie would never have run away. It was not in its habits as not to give new. It was a young woman responsible,” said the mother of Nathalie.
The family Champigny encourages people who may have information to contact the Sûreté du Québec or the line Info-Crime for the purpose of advancing the investigation.
