WASHINGTON – The u.s. Senate confirmed Thursday the appointment of Kelly Knight Craft to the position of ambassador to the United States in Canada.
Near the head of the republican party in the us Senate, Mitch McConnell, and the vice-president of the United States, Mike Pence, Kelly Knight Craft succeeds Bruce Heyman, nominated by Barack Obama in march 2014.
“I congratulate Kelly Knight Craft for his confirmation as ambassador to the United States in Canada. Our two nations share more than a border,” said Mitch McConnell in a press release.
A native of Kentucky, Kelly Knight Craft is a major donor and collector of the republican party.
