TORONTO – A Toronto police has been so touched by the story of a thief arrested for stealing clothes he decided to buy them and give them to him.

Apprehended Sunday in a Walmart in Toronto for stealing a shirt, tie and socks, an 18 year old man to have had the chance to meet with the agent Niran Jeyanesan and his colleague, reported CP24, on Monday. The suspect explained to police that he was in need of these clothes for an interview to get a job.

“This young man has faced many hardships in life, and he tried to get out of it to help his family and find a job,” said Niran Jeyanesan to CP24.

“He has no resources. He wanted this job. I think he really made a mistake”, he added.

After you have freed the thief without charge, the officer bought him clothes. He believes that helping people is part of his work.

“The police do this every day and they are not recognized for it. We are not looking for recognition,” he said.
