QUEBEC – The Quebec delegate general to London, Christos Sirros, will leave office in October for the retreat, said the ministry of international Relations and la francophonie, on Monday.

He will be replaced by John Anthony Coleman as of October 17. Mr. Coleman, aged 64, was previously a lawyer senior partner in the firm Norton Rose Fullbright Canada.

The new general delegate holds two bachelor degrees from McGill University in civil law and common law and another bachelor’s degree from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He has been practicing law since 1981.

Mr. Sirros was delegate-general in London since December 2014. He had earlier been a member of the national Assembly of Quebec from 1981 to 2003, where he held the position of minister of natural Resources.

The delegate general of Québec in London has for mission to represent the government of Québec in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and in the nordic countries.
