Family drama: a mother arrested for the death of her baby

BÉCANCOUR | A woman whose boy of two years old died tragically in Bécancour Friday night has been arrested and could be charged with murder as early as Tuesday morning, to Trois-Rivières.

The Sûreté du Québec confirmed still not the link between the woman’s 39-year-old was arrested and the toddler found in cardio-respiratory arrest, but according to our information, it is the mother of the child.

The hypothesis of family drama, mentioned as early as the first hours by the major crimes of the Sûreté du Québec, seems to be a reality.

The mother lived alone with her boy for a year and a half on the Avenue Cyr in Bécancour, as a result of a separation with the father of the child, a very difficult ordeal for her, according to what we confirmed. The woman also appeared to be in financial difficulties and have low morale for some time.

Drama

Friday evening, police and paramedics were called to get to the apartment building, and left the toddler in cardio-respiratory arrest. They have tried to resuscitate the child without success in the coming out of the building, under the horrified eyes of a few neighbors. The death has unfortunately been found in the hospital.

The mother was also transported to the hospital by ambulance, where she was hospitalized, then arrested in the last hours.
