Chrysler produced the Chrysler PT Cruiser 2000 to 2010. While we suspect that Chrysler does not really know what type of vehicle it was, nor to know the market to which it is addressed, the PT Cruiser polarisait the automotive enthusiasts. Some adored him, especially because it was different from all the rest. And other used to hate each other for different reasons.
Barely 7 years after Chrysler terminated its marketing, it is boring. Here’s why.
2 Fast 2 Furious
Original Film
Because the Chrysler PT Cruiser has made an appearance in the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious, which automatically makes a car interesting. Front grille replaced, chrome wheels added, decals, flames are stamped on the sides, it had something for everyone.
Convertible
Chrysler
Because, from 2005, a convertible was offered. And that, we love it. Unfortunately, Chrysler no longer marketed no car’s on-board on which one can stroll the wind in your hair. And that is sad.
Because, in 2004, Celine Dion was the star of advertisements for the Chrysler brand. Listening to the song I Drove All Night, one can only imagine behind the wheel of a PT Cruiser.
Clotaire Rapaille
Rapaille Institute
Because Clotaire Rapaille had participated in the elaboration of its design. Blink of an eye to the inhabitants of the city of Quebec.
HHR
Chevrolet
Because it was much more beautiful than the Chevrolet HHR, which was released five years after the PT Cruiser.
Turbooooo
Chrysler
Because the GT Cruiser was more powerful than you thought. In fact, thanks to the turbocharger, it develops 215 horsepower.
The Office
NBC
Because in the american television series The Office, Michael Scott, the boss, leads among other things a PT Cruiser convertible. It is provided to him by the company for which he works, that is to say, Dunder Mifflin. It is also seen at the wheel of the Chrysler Sebring convertible.
Woody
Chrysler
Because between 2002 and 2004, a version of Woody was offered, you guessed it, with the faux-wood decorative on the body panels.
The most beautiful color
Chrysler
Because the color purple was available. Or eggplant, if you prefer. And few vehicles are deliverables of this color today.
