This is no longer a secret to anyone, Toyota is preparing to launch a new sports car that could very well revive the name Supra.
And according to the latest information circulating on the web, a new concept we are closer to the production version will be unveiled a little later this month in the framework of the motor Show in Tokyo.
Developed in partnership with BMW, this new sports car will give in fact rise to two distinct models, one for Toyota and one for BMW. The manufacturer from munich has already given a good idea of what their vehicle will look like with the concept of the new generation of the Z4 roadster.

At Toyota, there is a lot more discreet. The japanese manufacturer has unveiled in 2014 one concept that has done much talking, the FT-1 (photos). But since then, almost nothing has been said on this model that many people in the automotive industry have already been given Above, rightly or wrongly.
Regardless of its name, the future sports car from Toyota is expected to enter production as early as 2018 and is expected to be commercialised for the first time as a 2019 model.

Still a lot of questions
Under the hood, it is still too early to tell what type of engine will be powered the new sports car. A gasoline engine six-cylinder engine seems to be in the plans, but hybrid technology is not impossible.
No word on the type of transmission that will be used. Fingers crossed for a manual transmission!
We’ll know probably a little bit more in a few weeks. Patience…
