A couple goes before the judge to expel their son from their cottage

MATANE | A couple of the Bas-Saint-Laurent has had to go through the court to get their son to their cabin, since the latter refused to leave and removed the posters “for sale” planted on the ground.

Valmont Pinel and Simone Lebreux have allowed five years ago that their son Guy lives in her country cottage located in Sainte-Paule, a village located thirty kilometers from Matane, in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

But the couple of fragile health who lives in a residence for elderly people has decided in the summer of 2016 to sell his cottage.

They therefore asked their son to leave the chalet. They have even offered to help financially to relocate.

But their son refused to leave. The old couple had to send a notice to their own child to leave, but without success.

It is ultimately a judge who had to decide to finally impose on him or her to leave the premises.

“Not only has he not left the scene, but the surplus, the defendant night in the sales process by not cooperating with the brokerage firm and real estate-mandated and removing the posters on the grounds of the cottage,” wrote judge Daniel Beaulieu, in a decision rendered on 27 September.

Prejudice

The judge found that the parents suffered harm due to actions of their son.

In fact, they are older and have to pay their accommodation in a residence for elderly persons, in addition to the maintenance of the cottage occupied by their son.

The court has imposed to Guy Pinel to leave the premises within a period of 10 days. We also asked him to no longer be present at the property, do not annoy or harass her parents and not to interfere with the sales process.

Despite the difficult situation in which it is located, the couple reiterated their offer to assist financially and temporarily their boy so he can find another place to live.
