In the part of the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas from 9 to 12 January, a company of Maryland will present the second generation of the GXE (Genovation Extreme Electric), based on the Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport.

This second generation promises to be absolutely promising. Recall that Genovation was particularly illustrated with its previous achievement. Built on the foundation of the Corvette C6, it developed about 600 horsepower and almost as many pounds-feet of torque. The V8 6.2 L had been swapped for two electric motors. All of that had allowed the GXE to clinch the record for the top speed the higher for an electric car that can be registered, or 331 km/h.

At the present time, we do not know all the details surrounding this next Corvette power, but it is expected to about 800 horsepower and 700 pound-feet. As a guideline, the most recent Corvette Grand Sport develops 460 horsepower and 465 pounds-feet.

Interestingly, the GXE will be delivered with a manual gearbox and seven reports. This is not usually a feature of electric cars. An automatic transmission a dual-clutch transmission with paddles on the steering wheel will also be offered.

Attention, this exceptional car is not intended for the general public. It is expected not to produce 75 copies, and the one who will wish to obtain one will have to spend approximately 940 000 $ CA.
