You can read on Motrolix that Volkswagen has filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in order to reserve the name “Amarok”. Fans of the German automaker knows that it is the name given to its midsize pickup.
In inuit, “amarok” means “wolf”.
The machine rumors is, of course, power. Volkswagen could simply have wanted to reserve the name, which is associated elsewhere on the planet so that no other manufacturer uses it, but this announcement could also mean that the German manufacturer intends to market its midsize pickup in America.

Since the Caddy and the Doka, respectively, built on the foundations of a Rabbit and Vanagon, Volkswagen has not tried to penetrate the market of the pick-up in North America.
In the Uk, the Amarok may be motivated by a V6 TDI 3 L. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive 4Motion is also available. It is still much too early to speculate on the releases that would be sold in North America.

Not renewing the Ranger in 2011, Ford appeared to be disinterested in this segment. The american manufacturer has preferred to concentrate on his Series F. General Motors has demonstrated that it was of the other opinion by introducing the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon in 2015. Finally, we changed our mind on the side of Ford, and it will reintroduce a new Store in 2018.
If it landed in North America, the Volkswagen Amarok concurrencerait also the Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma.
