Concordia University launches an investigation to shed light on the allegations of sexual misconduct involving several faculty from its creative writing program, announced the president at a press conference Wednesday.

The vice-chancellor Alan Shepard was reacting to a blog post published Monday by a former student, Mike Spry, who denounces the “masculinity is toxic” the creative writing program, where teachers allegedly had sex with students, making sexual advances unwanted, and abused their power against them.

“Maybe it was an open secret, but it was not a secret to me. I was not aware before Monday,” says Mr. Shepard, who did not want to say if some professors of creative writing had already been met or suspended since.
