MONTREAL – A man has been the victim of a murder attempt, in the night from Thursday to Friday, in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grace, Montreal.
According to initial information available, the incident occurred around 1: 45 a.m. outside a bar on Sherbrooke street, near the avenue Oxford.
The victim, a man in his thirties has been reached at the top of the body by at least one projectile from a firearm, said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
He was transported to a hospital, his life would not be in danger. The man is known to police and “is not cooperating with the investigation,” according to the SPVM.
No arrest has been made for the moment.
The canine unit was deployed, and investigators went on-site to analyze the scene in order to better understand the circumstances of the event.
