GATINEAU | woman sexually assaulted for many years by his own father who brought him three children, is ready to forgive him.

A year ago, Jacques Roger Lesage was sentenced to 15 years in prison after a trial where two of his daughters were told they suffered from multiple sexual assaults.

He pushed the horror of incest up to three children to her own daughter, Lucy Lesage, which explains its nickname of the ‘ father-grand-father, Val-des-Monts, a village in the Outaouais region.

A year later, the lady of 54 years of age, is ready to forgive his father and encourages all women to denounce their abusers because it was good.

“I don’t want to live with hatred and anger, which are negative feelings that keep you from moving on. This is not what I want, and to continue, it’s important to say I forgive, ” says without hesitation Lucie Lesage.

The man of 80 years has made life a real hell of a sexual Lucy and her sister Nathalie. The jury had found guilty of 4 of the 6 charges leveled against him.

The assault began in the early 1970s and Lucie Lesage became pregnant from her father for the first time when she was no older than 13 years of age.

In total, his father has made him three children.

“It is sure that there are scars that will not go away overnight, but my situation does not compare to a year ago “, she said.

A new woman

In January 2017, Lucie Lesage had taken the witness stand to tell of all the abuse she had suffered. The repeated aggression of his father are staggered for more than 30 years.

The latest assault occurred on the day of the funeral of his mother in 2004. She decided to tell everything to the police 10 years later in 2014.

At the end of his trial painful, Lucie Lesage says it has found the taste to live, and she puts a lot of effort to rebuild.

“I go to a psychologist and I am also a therapy. Even if the reconstruction has begun, it is not finished. But I’m a new Lucy, ” said the woman.

Ms. Lesage is proud of the path she has travelled.

“A year ago, it was as if the life had no value. I would have preferred to die. But today, I want to live to the fullest to share it, ” exclaimed she.

Denounce

The judicial process, although difficult, has been liberating for the lady. It invites all sexual assault victims to denounce their abusers.

“Don’t hesitate ! Denounce a person or to the police, they are extraordinary people. Denounce, it was the most beautiful gift that I could do, ” concludes Lucie Lesage.
