USA restrict the export of arms to South Sudan : the World : Vladim

The United States introduced a ban on shipments of American weapons to South Sudan and recommended to all States to do likewise, especially this advice applies to the nearest neighbors of the African state. Information about it spread by the Western media.

 

In Washington talk about the need to stop the conflict between government and opposition in South Sudan. According to American politicians, all countries are obliged to support this initiative, especially not to arm the people responsible for the conduct of military operations. The opposite view is held by Russia, China and some other powers. On the US side are the Western States.

The conflict in South Sudan between the official authorities and the opposition began in 2013. Sometimes hostilities in the country cease, but the terms of the armistice periodically violated by one of the parties to the conflict and all repeats for a given scenario. In December last year, the rivals signed a nonaggression Pact, but in a couple of weeks again clashed.
