A serious accident between a truck and a car injured very serious, Tuesday morning, on highway 440 West in Laval.

The violent collision occurred around 10 p.m. in the height of the boulevard Curé-Labelle.

For a reason yet unexplained, the driver of the car collided with the truck pulling a trailer.

The car ended up wedged under the trailer of the truck and was dragged a few hundred meters.

The arrival of the emergency services on the scene, the motorist was conscious, but was suffering from a very serious injury.

The man from Ontario was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

As the driver of the heavy weight, it has also been transported to the hospital to treat a nervous shock. However, it has not been injured.

In the end of the morning, police officers from the Sûreté du Québec worked together to meet motorists who were witnesses of the tragedy to try to establish the sequence of events, and above all, the cause of the accident.

A portion of the highway 440 has been completely closed to the west for an indefinite period.

This has obviously caused a major traffic jam in the area.
