An employee of a restaurant in montreal has confessed to the tribunal to have sexually harassed an intern 16 years, even going so far as to tell him that he would violate it as soon as the young would be major.
“Yes,” laconically answered Frank Calise, when the tribunal was recently asked if he would plead guilty to a reduced charge of criminal harassment.
Calise, 35 years old, had been living months of hell to a teenager, in the summer of 2016, when he had been hired in a restaurant kitchen. The name of the trade, which is located in the city, was not revealed during the hearing last week at the palais de justice of Montreal. The identity of the child is protected by order of the court.
He was scared
“The defendant began making comments that are vulgar towards the victim, said the prosecutor to the Crown, Anne Gauvin. His language was inappropriate, he was grabbing the victim in its arms, without consent. “
At other times, Calise approached young and tried to him catch it in the genitals over the clothes, in the kitchen of the restaurant.

The teenager, frightened by this behavior, did not dare say anything. He was so frightened that he even missed a day of work so as not to cross Calise told the prosecutor.
Far from subsiding, Calise continued escalation of harassment with comments also believed that violent.
“I’m excited that you have 18 years like that, I could rape you and you beat them,” said Calise, according to the statement of facts from the Crown.
Reduced charge
A complaint was eventually made to the police, and the prosecutors have accused the employee of sexual assault, assault, threats and criminal harassment.
Following discussions with the defence lawyer Antonio Perfetto, Calise pled guilty to the last chief, and a stay of proceedings has been pronounced on the other.
Calise, who has no criminal history, will return to the court at the end of April for oral arguments on the sentence to impose. By then, he will meet with specialists who will paint his portrait, and which will assess, among other things, his risk of re-offending.
There is a risk of up to 10 years ‘ imprisonment although, in general, the awards are much lower.
The young man could make a statement describing the impact the crime has had on his life, explained the Crown.
